About Us

Greater Spokane Incorporated™ is focused on accelerating regional economic prosperity throughout the Spokane region — ensuring that our community is a great place to live, work and do business. With a well-educated workforce, a diverse economy and a location that is “Near Nature. Near Perfect,” Spokane is a vibrant community poised to continue its economic success.

We strongly support the Manufacturing Sector throughout our region and are actively collaborating with the community to establish a highly educated and technically skilled workforce, which is a common thread that binds all businesses — large and small.

Recently, the Spokane Area Economic Development Council and Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce integrated their organizations to form Greater Spokane Incorporated. This integration helps to create a new focus that addresses the challenges that our region faces, and secures tremendous opportunities for citizens to prosper.

Greater Spokane Incorporated invites you do your part in building on our strong foundation and enhancing our mission to accelerate regional economic prosperity. Manufacturing will continue to play an integral role in offering the citizens of our region an excellent opportunity for challenging, high paying jobs with security and great benefits.

On the Rise

U.S. manufacturers are emerging stronger, more productive and better positioned than ever to compete in world markets, and employment opportunities for men and women in many sectors are growing. Manufacturing has long been an economic driver in Washington State. According to the Washington State Employment Security Department, in December 2004 more than 261,000 people were employed in manufacturing — almost 10% of all non-farm employment in the state.
